15 year old is getting pretty stale. It's generally a good idea to toss street tires after 6 years. Depending on how serious you want to get into this, you could either buy the kick-butt awesome tires that everybody raves about, or just buy whatever is cheap and enjoy learning to drive. Or something...

LordCo sells RCI brand in both M and SA. I have the M version, and it's certainly adequate.

Race on whatever tires you have for your first season. Crappy tires force you to drive smoother. Or sloppier. Sloppy is fun and a crowd pleaser....

In a similar vein, I like the idea of a $2000 challenge, where you can bring whatever you want, but you can't spend more than $2000 total. But this will favour the builders more than the non-builders, so it wouldn't really be as fair to everyone as See23's idea.

I'll do the repairs if someone pays for parts, and machining I cannot do.

So this would be like an IROC championship, but everyone drives the same single car?

Blew the drywall dust off the 7 today, and thinking about next season. Firefly is up on the hoist awaiting fuel lines (among other things). Watching this thread because this thread is active.

I was wondering if that someone was going to be me, but I knew you crunched the numbers for me this last season, so I wasn't going to pester you again.

I appreciate all the hard work you do for the sport.

In other news, my shop should be finished and all moved into by Christmas.

Winning A-mod takes more money than I make.

Nevertheless.....

Building an affordable but adequately quick A-Mod is on my list.
