website issues

So, this phpBB application (it's not a website) wanted me to update the version. After 25+ hours of loading and modifying this and that, I have been able to get it to run on this older version. Unfortunately,
- the backup from the original version will not run in the newest version
- this mid-version backs up most of the data, but I see all the picture files (ie race results) are missing.
- eventually this version will no longer be supported or be able to run, so we will be forced to run the newest version.
(same problems as versions of Windows and associated software)
Hopefully, everyone can still log in. Except the spam bots.
Ultimately, does anybody even care if the old results and old posts are available?
