2017 new venue

We all feel the loss of KAL tire place acutely. There have been rumors of another venue, such as UBC.
Are there any prospects of a second site for autocross?

This can't be good for the future of racing at Kal Tire Place.....

They probably had to leave room for the homeless encampment.

It was nice while it lasted. We were all afraid of this. Although not unexpected, this confirmation of our fears is still unwelcome.

I lobbied the organizers at Area 27 back in December to host some autocross on their huge, freshly paved paddock based on the value of teaching car control skills in a low risk environment. I was told that they may do one autocross day in the season although I have yet to get a date. It is a bit of a ways to go but closer than Pitt Meadows and a great opportunity to see the track if it comes to pass.

I hope you guys do find a new spot in vernon. The one year in which i get a half decent car they decide to expand the arena.

The year I finally make the move to Vernon and there is no lot... ugh...
Anyone on here an Area 27 member? Can't wait to get out on the track!

I think Ron is - aka angryturtle. You might have seen the turtle in Pitt Meadows - grey Audi RS4 with the giant flares that makes the most awesome V8 noises. That's his "street" car though - he has another more serious toy for the track

What about the parade grounds at the army camp? Large enough for auto cross?
