Making 16 for the Eliminator!
For a weekend that was looking like it was going to have a lot of rain we were all blessed with decent weather and lots of great racing all weekend long, with everyone pushing hard not wanting to leave anything on the table it lead to some great racing and a few upsets coming down to one winner congratulations Jordan on your win!!!
With a very busy weekend a extra thanks to all of those who helped make it all happen. Wade for all his behind the scenes work not only for the event but for the entire season as it’s a thankless job. Doug for setting up all the IT stuff and doing our website. Mike for the pizza on Saturday. Tim for being there early not only for the eliminator but for the entire season to help setup and get the event ready. Wil for all of his hard work on the timing program and so much behind the scenes work with making the results as easy to read and understand. I know there is probably more people I have missed to you and to all of you thanks, without everyone stepping up none of it is possible!!!
Thank you to everyone who made the Eliminator weekend such a success! Despite the complexity of it all, we all felt confident that the format gave everyone a fighting chance to take home the big trophy. Well done!
Thank you to everyone who stepped up and helped out all season. From the folks busy making the courses long before the rest of us show up to the folks working behind the scenes to bring us social media, online registration and managing the unseen bureaucratic requirements that motorsport requires - our fun would not happen without your work.
I would also like to give a nod to all of the competitors for their enthusiasm and their consideration of others. The people are what make Okanagan Autocross so enjoyable! We hope to see you all next year!
I'd like to Roger all that. Thanks to everyone who volunteered to make this a great autocross season. Thanks to Wade S for a dang successful first year as president, Matt and Wil for their great course layouts and timing work. Tim gets the unsung hero award for always being there early to help. Steve G and Nick G for doing such a fantastic job as the novice directors, Wayne for lending his gearhead expertise to the scrutineer position. Devon did great (and low profile) job as treasurer, Amanda too as secretary. Thanks to Bruce as VP and all those serving on the board and to everyone who came out to compete. Great season!
